Desert Sharks Swim Club Operations

An elected Executive Board provides management authority of the team. Guidelines established by the board govern the team's activities. The Executive Board consists of the following positions:

President
1. Presides over meetings.
2. Appoints team representatives as needed to local and national swimming organizations.
3. Appoint committees necessary for the good of the Corporation.
4. Is the team representative to the Border Swimming Association.

Vice President:
1. In absence of President, assumes the President's duties.
2. Is the team representative to the Border Swimming Association.

Secretary:
1. Maintains a permanent file, past and present, of all Board and General Meetings minutes and other meetings of Corp.
2. Handles correspondence as required by Corporation and President.
3. Is responsible for maintaining all records and files of the Corp. except those specifically delegated to the other officers.

Treasurer:
1. Is responsible for financial records.
2. Is responsible for preparing a budget and fee schedule for each fiscal year to be approved by the Board and presented to the membership and The Annual Meeting.
3. Presents a financial statement at each Board and General Meeting.
4. Is responsible for collection of all fees and payments of all Board-approved bills.

Team Registrar:
1. Is responsible for coordinating registration of DSSC swimmers into USS Swimming.
2. Handles relevant correspondence with Border LSC Registrar.
3. Works with Coaching Staff to ensure accurate rosters.

Head Coach:
1. Supervises all training and practice sessions.
2. Conducts monthly coaches meetings and coordinates all coaching activities.
3. Communicates all coaching concerns and requests to the board.
4. Sets all pool conduct rules.
5. Has the final say in any swimmer discipline situation.
